Northern Pride is a new and exciting Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender festival for the North East. Representatives of the LGBT communities from across the region have come together to ensure that we have a Pride celebration that represents and celebrates our diversity.
The range of events being organized as part of the festival should ensure that there is something for everyone. Whether you want to learn more about LGBT history or dance the night away, admire the work of LGBT artists or chill out at a Pink Picnic then keep an eye on our Pride Programme which we will update regularly as new events are confirmed.
What’s more, Northern Pride will be organizing the North East’s first Pride Parade to include floats. The Parade is open to the whole LGBT community and our friends so get the glad rags out, get painting those banners and for the ambitious start preparing those floats as we take over Newcastle city centre.

Northeast First !
Northern Pride are organising the North East’s
first Pride Parade that will include floats. On Saturday
12th July we will be taking over Newcastle city centre so
that everyone in the LGBT community and friends can come
together to celebrate its diversity and worth with pride
and passion.
It's easy to join the Pride Parade! Just turn up at the
assembly point in Newcastle at the designated time. If
you're in costume – fantastic! Let's make this the most
colourful parade we can!
If you don't want to wear a costume, but want to walk down
with the Parade, that's great too. Just arrive at and
you'll be more than welcome (be as early as you can - it'll
get crowded toward the leaving time!).
